Apricot Gorgonzola bites
These petit bites make a flavourful appetizer to enjoy with any kind of red wine 🍷.
They are so easy to assemble and have an impressive look. The sweetness of dried apricot blends well with salty and creamy Gorgonzola cheese. Almond flakes give the bite a nice crunchiness and thyme garnish brings freshness and completes the flavour combinations.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Gorgonzola crumbled
12 dried apricot halves
2 Tbsp almond flakes
1 Tbsp syrup (in a small bowl mix 1Tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp red or white wine)
Thyme springs
Instructions:
place 1 tsp cheese on each apricot, top with almonds. Drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with thyme.
