#Cider with #peppermint syrup
This is a traditional Persian drink in summertime.
It is so simple to make and can be stored in the fridge for a month.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 mint bunches
Directions:
In a pot heat water and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
With a string fasten the mint leaves and put it in the syrup let the mint stay in the syrup.
Add the vinegar and continue to heat until the syrup starts boiling, keep it boiling for 3-5 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool it.
To make a drink:
With a vegetable peeler peel a layer of English cucumber and gently stick it to the tall glass wall.
Add ice cubes.
Add 2 oz of the cider syrup.
Top it with water and garnish with mint leaves.
To make a cocktail you can add 2 oz of vodka to this drink. It’s better to shake the syrup, ice cubes and vodka in a shaker and stain into a glass and top it with sparkling water.
