I use chia seeds in smoothie recipes. They are a good source of fiber, protein and omega 3 fatty acids.
This smoothie has all good greens and ginger to pump up the flavour.
Ingredients:
1 cup torn fresh kale
1 banana sliced
1 cup unsweetened plant milk
1/2 cup plain yogurt 2% fat
1 tsp chia seeds
1/2 ripe avocado
1/2 tsp sliced ginger
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. (Add honey if you like)
