Pineapple sage sangria

This year I planted sage in my little garden. It has had a lot of sun and it grew so well.

I love using sage in my recipes. It especially goes well with both citrusy and nutty notes. Sage makes any combination more sophisticated. In drinks it brings a unique aroma that blends with other ingredients.

Sangria is one of favourite drinks because it is light and I can mix fruits, herbs and spices to create something special . Sangria to me is like one of a kind piece of art that you can’t find a duplicate of it.

This blend follows the same rule which is feel free to create.

Ingredients for two drinks:

  • 1 orange sliced🍊

  • 4 pineapple slices🍍

  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice

  • 1/4 cup orange juice

  • 6 sage leaves

  • 1/4 cup blueberries 🫐

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1 cup White wine

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing jar, add 4 sage leaves and pineapple juice. Muddle and stir to release the fragrance of sage.

  2. Add the orange juice and ice and stir. Take the sage leaves out.

  3. In serving glasses add orange slices, pineapple chunks and blueberries.

  4. Pour the mix into the glasses and top it with chilled white wine.

  5. Use two sage leaves to garnish.
