Pizza dough



  • One package of dried yeast (8 grams)

  • 1 1/2 cup Luke warm water

  • 4 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp salt


  1. In a small bowl dissolve dry yeast with 1/4 cup water.

  2. In a large bowl mix flour and salt then add the remains of water and yeast.

  3. If using a mixer mix it for 3 min and if using hand just mix to form a dough and do not knead.(add water or flour to get the desired elasticity it shouldn’t stick to your hand)

  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover loosely with a wet cotton kitchen cloth and let it proof for 24 hours in the refrigerator. (My trick is to microwave the dough for 20 sec, take it out and after 15 min at room temperature again microwave for another 20 sec to see that the dough is double in size)

  5. When you are ready to make pizza, divide the dough into 4 pieces. Shape each piece by using the palm of your hand to make a ball.
