Tuna and black bean salad

Black bean and tuna salad

This salad reminds me of when we used to go to restaurants, sit anywhere we wanted as long as we desired and keep eating and drinking and talking about anything but pandemic.

I had this salad in an Italian restaurant once and it is called exactly what it’s made of #fagioli Neri and #tonno


  • 1 cup tuna drained

  • 1 cup black beans cooked and drained

  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cups of spring mix

  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions (and basil leaves for topping)

  • Salt and pepper


  1. In a bowl mix tuna beans 1 Tbsp lemon juice and 1 Tbsp olive oil.

  2. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. In a large bowl add the remaining oil and lemon juice to spring mix and toss to cover the greens.

  4. Add some salt and pepper.

  5. Put the greens in a dish and spoon the tuna mix on top.

  6. Top your salad with red onion slices and basil leaves.
